Our Wedding

Shelby and Kevin first crossed paths during Shelby's first weekend at the University of Virginia, where she was studying biochemistry and he was majoring in government. Their connection deepened after a memorable first date at Grit Coffee where a quick latte turned into a four-hour conversation on the steps of the Rotunda. From that moment on, they were inseparable. In May 2024, during a trip to Fort Lauderdale, Kevin proposed at sunrise—a moment they still laugh about as Shelby was too busy singing "YEAH!" by Usher to notice what was about to happen. Their relationship is marked by this shared sense of humor and joy, but at its heart is a deep friendship that has become the foundation of their love story.

The dress code for our wedding is Garden Party Formal. For our female guests we encourage midi or floor-length dresses in spring or vibrant colors - playful, elegant, and perfect for an evening garden celebration. Fabrics such as chiffon, silk, or lace work beautifully. For our male guests, classic suits or blazers in navy, grey, or beige are appropriate, paired with a tie or bow tie. To maintain the formal and elegant atmosphere, we ask that guests avoid cocktail attire, short dresses, jeans, shorts, or casual footwear such as sneakers or sandals. ﻿We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
